Bookish Trick or Treat – #HalloweenReads

halloweenreadsHalloween is nearly upon us and in it’s time for me to recommend some books.

This year I’ve split them between TREATS, those reads that you’d expect on a chilling dark Halloween night. Deep woods, haunted places, the unexplained… better lock your doors and windows tight.

And TRICKS, books that might not immediately spring to mind as a Halloween read but are wonderfully appropriate all the same.

The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich

Say Her Name by James Dawson

Long Lankin by Lindsey Barraclough

The Screaming Staircase (Lockwood & Co. #1)
(& the other books in the series)

The Girl from the Well by Rin Chupeco
& The Suffering (The Girl from the Well #2)

Carrie by Stephen King

The Hunting Ground by Cliff McNish

Frozen Charlotte by Alex Bell

Dead Romantic by C J Skuse

The Savages by Matt Whyman

The Love Curse of the Rumbaughs by Jack Gantos

Monsters by Emerald Fennell

The Girl with All the Gifts by M.R. Carey

Evil Librarian by Michelle Knudsen
