ARC is an advanced copy of a book. Generally supplied by publishers and authors (either as hard copies of ebooks) for review.
Also know as Review copies or Galleys

Goodreads is a free website for book lovers. Imagine it as a large library that you can wander through and see everyone’s bookshelves, their reviews, and their ratings. You can also post your own reviews and catalog what you have read, are currently reading, and plan to read in the future.

Blog Tour A virtual book tour, organised by publishers, authors or third parties. The book in questions will tour a number of Book Blogs over a short space of time for promotion.

Reading Challenge, you can sign up to existing Reading Challenges or make up your own. You set a target, example: read 10 historical fiction books that year and track your progress.

Sunshine Star I have a favorite book; Sunshine by Robin McKinley It might not be the greatest book ever written but it is one that I have never grown tired off and read numerous times each year. So if I really love a book it gets a Sunshine Star.

Above the Treeline aka Edelweiss is an online, interactive, cross-publisher catalogue service. Used as a platform for a social network amongst industry professionals, around shared reviews and anticipated titles. As with Netgalley professional readers can request titles for review prior to publication.

Blogger Badge / Button is an effective to promote and link back to your blog. When someone clicks on your badge they are automatically routed to your blog.

Blog Roll is a list of Blogs you support and follow.

DNF Did Not Finish, books that you don’t want to finish, normally because you consider them a waste of good reading time.

Blurb generally refers to the text on the back of a book, a brief overview designed to get the readers attention.
