The Silent Owl by John Williams

The Silent Owl

The Silent Owl follows the story of David Price, who suffers a downward spiral of mental decline witnessed by his ten-year-old friends, Beth Jones and Tom Rhys. It is a heart-warming story of respect and a duty-of-care expressed by two children who place themselves at risk to help a man they admire.

The Silent Owl is the second Young Adult novel by Glen who published his debut work, The Phantom and the Crown, in 2020. Both books feature many of the same characters and trace events in a fictional village somewhere north of the industrial valleys in South Wales.
