I consider myself a Harry Potter fan but I have a feeling by the end of this I’m gonna be kicked out of Hogwarts…
What house are you in?
Hufflepuff. Because the awesome.
What is your patronus?
Deerhound, I named her Midori.
What is your wand?
Apparently a ‘Larch wood with a Dragon heartstring core 12 ½” and Surprisingly Swishy flexibility.
What would your boggart be?
Not sure, my fear is no exits. Not being able to escape… no idea how that would manifest itself.
What position would you play in Quidditch?
I’d be cheering in the crowds. Or probably reading and cheering.
Would you be a pure blood, half blood or muggle born?
What job would you want after to have after graduating Hogwarts?
Maybe run a magical bookshop?
Which of the Deathly Hallows, would you choose?
Hmm, probably the Cloak of Invisibility
Prisoner of Azkaban
Least favourite book?
Goblet of Fire
This is the first step to you revoking my fandom. I am not fussed about the films. I actually only got round to watching the last 2 this year. There is no favourite. They are there, they’re ok(ish). End of.
Least favourite film?
Prisoner of Azkaban, the only reason I have an answer to this is because I read the book just before I went to see it at the cinema and I remember how I hated. I think it’s part of why I don’t care about the films.
I should say Luna (and I do love her) but hmm probably Hermione.
Least favourite/most hated character?
Not least favourite, in a twisted way I adore Dolores Umbridge because I loathed her so much. She was so warped and depraved that you could only hate her. She was strangely perfect that way.
Favourite teacher at Hogwarts?
My obvious choice would be Minerva McGonagall because she is brilliant and calm – plus she also turns into a cat. But I also enjoyed Sybill Trelawney appearance because she was dismissed as weird.
Least favourite teacher at Hogwarts?
I’m going to say Gilderoy Lockhart (because while I would never want Dolores Umbridge as a teacher she is an amazing character), he was so irritating.
Do you have any unpopular opinions about the series?
*hands over fandom card* You can kick me out now.
So I can certainly talk about LGBTQIA+, diversity, etc. but actually I’ll be talking about editing. Here’s the thing, in my opinion, the books get too long. Way too long. It’s like after Prisoner of Azkaban no Editor was going to say anything to J K Rowling about the content. Which is magical if you never want the story to end but on the other hand it’s just so much, and I’m not convinced it all needed to be there. I’ve re-read the entire series once. I’ve re-read Philosopher’s Stone & Prisoner of Azkaban over 10 times. They have everything and its not 500+ pages to trudge through.
