From the award-winning author of Princess Princess Ever After comes The Tea Dragon Society, a charming all-ages book that follows the story of Greta, a blacksmith apprentice, and the people she meets as she becomes entwined in the enchanting world of tea dragons.
After discovering a lost tea dragon in the marketplace, Greta learns about the dying art form of tea dragon care-taking from the kind tea shop owners, Hesekiel and Erik. As she befriends them and their shy ward, Minette, Greta sees how the craft enriches their lives—and eventually her own.
How did I get the book? Book Expo
Genre: Graphic Novels
Review: For me The Tea Dragon Society could have been ten times longer and probable still not enough. The art is just mesmerizing. And the Tea Dragons! Why can’t they be real? I require one. I would take such good care of it.
While the graphic novel is short you still get a lot to swoon over (I have mentioned the artwork already). The concept is lovely and I like how there is more depth to each character then you anticipate upon first meeting them. At the end of the book there is a Tea Dragon section as well.
I picked this up on a whim, and it’s one of the best whims I’ve had this year.
