UK Book Reviewer Library – Share the Book Love

So as most of you now I attended BEA this year. It was amazing and if I’m honest at times a little overwhelming. I plan on writing a few of posts about BEA, the Teen Author Carnival and New York in general, adding the links in later.
Hopefully you’ll like reading them. 🙂

But let’s talk about the books!

BEA HAUL

As you can see there were many. Between the Blogger Conference, BEA and the books given away at the Teen Author Carnival I filled most of my luggage allowance before I even started book shopping**. I want to read all of these books, I wouldn’t have bought them home otherwise but I’m not going to manage to do that in the next couple of months.

So they’d just be sitting there on the shelf, alone, bored… we can’t have that.
Not when I’m sure there are so many wonderful readers out there who’d enjoy their company.

Luna’s Little Library is launching its own BEA UK Book Reviewer Library!

Here’s how it’s going to work. I’ve split the books into categories (more on that in a moment). You can borrow the book, read it and post a review – after which I ask that you return it.

I have a very small postage fund (once that’s gone it’s gone) so I can send a few books, however I will be in London on the 28 June 2014 and I’ll also be attending YALC so I can bring books to either of those events.

Any future trips to book events I’ll let you know about. 🙂

Just want to say…

BEA made me appreciate again how wonderful our book reviewing community in the UK is. I know so many of you, both online and in person, so I want to share these books.

There are a few titles I’m quite attached to, I hope you can understand that I’d prefer to lend these to people I know well but if I don’t know you personally I’m pretty sure we’ll have a friend in common. Things can always be worked out one way or another…

I should say that this isn’t “blogger” restricted. All reviewers are welcome –
so long as you are fine with the rules I’ve posted I’m happy.

The Rules

There have to be some. 😦

  • You can borrow 1 book at a time.
(2 under certain circumstances, email me)
  • Return the book in the condition you received it! I admit it, I’m really fussy. Some of the books aren’t pristine – either because they weren’t when I got them or because even with careful packing the long journey took its toll but most are good as new and I’d like to keep it that way. It’s a pet peeve.
  • Please return the book within 4 weeks, either in person or by post.
That way someone else can borrow it. 🙂
(Borrowing time is negotiable, for example if we’re meeting up again 6 weeks after I’ve handed it to you it seems silly to post it.)
  • Review the book. I’m not fussed how or where but given that these are mostly ARCs I think that’s a fair request. I’d appreciate it if you’d link back or state how you got the book. Thank you.
  • Share the love. If you enjoyed the book and want to pass it along to someone else (who abides by rule 2) that’s not a problem so long as no one is waiting for that book. Just email me to let me know that it’ll be a bit longer.
