Previously reviewed: Truly, Madly, Deadly
Synopsis: I know who you are.
When Riley first gets the postcard tucked into her bag, she thinks it’s a joke. Then she finds a birth certificate for a girl named Jane Elizabeth O’Leary hidden inside her baby book.
Riley’s parents have always been pretty overprotective. What if it wasn’t for her safety…but fear of her finding out their secret? What have they been hiding? The more Riley digs for answers, the more questions she has.
The only way to know the truth? Find out what happened to Jane O’Leary.
200words (or less) review: I requested this book on Netgalley because of Truly, Madly, Deadly. Just like that thriller See Jane Run was full of suspense and misleading plot twists.
Riley is easy enough to like. After finding Jane’s birth certificate she tries to unravel the mystery alone. Not succeeding online she travels to Jane’s birth town, breaking her parents strict rules in the process. One of her class mates, JD, comes along.
While I liked Riley her best friend Shelby annoyed me a lot. Also Riley acts instead of asks, I wasn’t always convinced by this. It took too long but in the end I still enjoyed this story. JD was my favourite character. His and Riley’s friendship/romance worked and provided a positive anchor in Riley’s turbulent story.
See Jane Run is full of twists and turns so you’re never quite sure how the story will end.
