Well we’re at the halfway point and I think I might make my target of 10, even with all the crazy that’s going on.
So far I’ve read five books, you can see the first 3 review below:
The Madness Underneath (Shades of London #2) by Maureen Johnson
The In-Between by Barbara Stewart
After Eden by Helen Douglas
Instead of making progress though I seem to have used Netgalley November as an excuse to request even more books. I want to say I’ll ban myself but that normally has exactly the opposite effect.
I have a week off in December, maybe I’ll extend the challenge. #positivethinking
How is everyone else getting along?
Authors for the Philippines
Following the terrible events in the Philippines, Authors for the Philippines is aiming to raise money for the Red Cross Typhoon Haiyan Appeal. There are some amazing items up for grabs, go check it out.
I’ve actually donated something myself. Custom made jewellery based on your favourite bookcover. You can bid HERE
Well done, you’ll definitely make your target! I read After Eden this week, no review yet though, and when I’ve logged onto Netgalley I’ve uploaded my reviews then logged off again otherwise I know I’d be clicking on ‘request’ again!
Sensible!
Yes, I want to say I’ll try this but ahm… #shame
I read After Eden Last Week and I have to say that for me it was just an OK read.
I have read and reviewed 5 books for the challenge so far, but like you I succumbed to more titles on netgalley and now I am almost back where I started!
After Eden was in the OK pile for me to, I’ve got These Broken Stars & Crash Into You next, I’m hoping those will be good.
Ha – I know what you mean about insituting a ban usually having the opposite effect. I’m the same way. At least you’re getting books read – that’s the most important thing, IMO. Great job this week!
Thank you, my TBR just never seems to shrink.
I have the same trouble Luna. I keep requesting more books. My post will be up later, but I’ve read 7 so far for this challenge. I want to reach 10 as well, which I think is doable. I also think I might try to carry on with my ARCs into December. Well done 🙂
7, go you!
Good Luck with this challenge! I think you’ll get 10 done!!! I’ll probably extend the challenge to December too.
Here’s my recap:

I’m starting to think Dec will be a must.
Aw, haha. I’ve been requesting a lot of books, too! At least we’ve got this challenge to encourage us to stay on track. 😛
I’m trying to keep myself from requesting so many books… but it’s not working all that well. One thing I have been better at doing is vetting the books on Goodreads before requesting them because, quite frankly, I’ve come across a lot of crap books during this challenge.
Good luck on your goals!
