Top Ten Books I HAD To Buy…But Are Still Sitting On My Shelf Unread

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

I didn’t get round to reading The Fault In Our Stars until this year and felt guilty every time I fessed up. What worries me most is that finding 10 wasn’t a struggle at all.
I could have doubled this list. 😦

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
I remember being so excited about this and no idea… *shrug*

Bunheads by Sophie Flack
It’s dance, I should have read it the day I bought it home.

Across The Universe by Beth Revis
So highly recommended from my friends but somehow I never picked it of the shelf. It looks very pretty there though.

Pushing The Limits by Katie McGarry
I was going to read this last year but something must have distracted me and now that I have Dare To You I think I better read it on the double-quick.

The Duff by Kody Keplinger
Waited ages for the paperback and then seemed to forget it was there. Oops.

You Against Me by Jenny Downham
Bought this on the back of Before I Die but never started it.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green & David Levithan
Heard so much about this.

Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan
No idea why I can’t read it yet. True I really dislike the UK cover but that doesn’t warrant me ignoring the story.

Pegasus by Robin McKinley
My favourite author, I think I’m scared it won’t be as wonderful as the others.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
I think it’s because everyone is reading it I’m holding back.

How about you?

  1. Oh I have a list that will dwarf your mere 20 😦 They just never ever end! And now – thanks to yours I will probably go buy a few more cos they just sound good and I really can’t help myself.

  2. I’ve actually read 3 of the books on this list! The story in Unspoken is a lot of fun. Maybe you could just take the dust cover off so you don’t have to look at it while you read it? 🙂

      1. Aww, I didn’t realize that! Bummer.

Although, in general, I might prefer that. I typically like reading paperbacks more than hardcovers for some reason.

  3. Across the Universe has been a popular inclusion in a lot of people’s lists this week and I must admit that it’s been on my own TBR pile for quite a long time too.
I ordered Shatter Me last night and it looks really good so I hope I don’t leave it.

Hope you get around to some of these soon! 🙂

  4. I would really recommend that you pick up The Duff, it didn’t grab me initially but I ended up loving it. If you don’t like the protagonist in the beginning (like me) just push through, it’s definitely worth it.
