Heist Society by Ally Carter

click meHow did I get the book?
I bought it.

Genre: Mystery

Additional Information: I read the first 4 chapters at my friend’s house because she recommended it and bought my own copy on the back of that.

Synopsis: When Katarina Bishop was three, her parents took her on a trip to the Louvre…to case it. For her seventh birthday, Katarina and her Uncle Eddie travelled to Austria…to steal the crown jewels. When Kat turned fifteen, she planned a con of her own—scamming her way into the best boarding school in the country, determined to leave the family business behind. But now her dad’s life is on the line, and Kat must go back to the world she tried so hard to escape…

200words (or less) review: One of my favourite films growing up was How to Steal a Million with Audrey Hepburn* & I love Oceans 11 (let’s pretend there were no more). The reason I tell you this is because Heist Society is everything that awesome about those films, not to mention we have a great heroine in Katarina Bishop.

The story was fun, really clever oh and did I mention FUN!

Heist Society has pretty much everything you could want, great characters, cracking story, suspense, morality, a little bit of romance, surprises – oh and what was that – bucket loads of fun!

No wonder my friend kept asking me if I’d read yet. I can’t believe I took this long to get round to it.

If you’re after an adventure with clever plans and plot twists, look no further! Have I mentioned the word ‘fun’ yet? 😉

Recommend it?

Absolutely
